Stewed Pears with Red Wine Vinegar Syrup
Ingredients:
- 2 tbsp Anchor Margaret River Red Wine Vinegar
- 2 cups (500ml) cranberry juice
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp Spencers ground cinnamon
- 4 large pears, cored and peeled
Method:
- Combine red wine vinegar, cranberry juice, lemon zest and juice, sugar and spices into a medium saucepan.
- Place pears in saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until pears are tender.
- Take pears out of pan and set aside. Increase heat and reduce sauce until it becomes and sticky syrup.
- Serve pears with marscarpone and spoon on syrup.
