Stewed Pears with Red Wine Vinegar Syrup


Ingredients:
  • 2 tbsp Anchor Margaret River Red Wine Vinegar
  • 2 cups (500ml) cranberry juice
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Spencers ground cinnamon
  • 4 large pears, cored and peeled
Method:
  1. Combine red wine vinegar, cranberry juice, lemon zest and juice, sugar and spices into a medium saucepan.
  2. Place pears in saucepan and bring to boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes or until pears are tender.
  3. Take pears out of pan and set aside. Increase heat and reduce sauce until it becomes and sticky syrup.
  4. Serve pears with marscarpone and spoon on syrup.
