Pikelets


Ingredients:
  • 1 egg (50g)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2/3 cup Lion Plain flour
  • 11/2 teaspoons Anchor Baking Powder
  • Pinch salt
Method:
  1. Beat egg and sugar until thick. Add milk
  2. Mix with sifted dry ingredients to a smooth batter.
  3. Pour spoonfuls in a hot greased fry pan.
  4. When bubbles appear on top side, turn over and cook the other side until golden in colour.
  5. Serve warm plain or with butter and your favourite jam or conserve.
