Pikelets
Ingredients:
- 1 egg (50g)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2/3 cup Lion Plain flour
- 11/2 teaspoons Anchor Baking Powder
- Pinch salt
Method:
- Beat egg and sugar until thick. Add milk
- Mix with sifted dry ingredients to a smooth batter.
- Pour spoonfuls in a hot greased fry pan.
- When bubbles appear on top side, turn over and cook the other side until golden in colour.
- Serve warm plain or with butter and your favourite jam or conserve.
